Econazole Nitrate

Econazole Nitrate is an Antifungal used to treat a variety of fungal skin infections such as athlete's foot, jock itch, and ringworm. This medication is also used to treat a skin condition known as pityriasis (tinea versicolor), a fungal infection that causes a lightening or darkening of the skin of the neck, chest, arms, or legs.
Nevertheless, econazole nitrate is an effective antifungal drug. In dermatological studies about 90% of a large number of patients were cured, often after a relatively short treatment period (2 to 6 weeks, as occurs with other imidazole antifungal agents).

You can use generic econazole cream on your face if you have ringworm, tinea versicolor, or a yeast infection on your face. But make sure to avoid applying the medication too close to your eyes, nostrils, mouth, or ear opening. Ecoza (the topical foam version of econazole) is only used on the foot for athlete's foot.

Salicylic Acid

Salicylic acid works by penetrating the hair follicle and oil gland and dissolving the acne-causing blockages of dead skin cells, oil and other debris. It also works to reduce the amount of oil being produced by your oil glands, making it less likely that new acne-causing blockages will form or grow bigger.
